From One Heart To Another

A deeply personal poetry collection where a grieving mother bares her heart and puts pen to paper. It's everything she might want to say to herself, to the people around her, and to the child who will always be in her heart. Grief needs space, not silence. That's what this book is:

An invitation into the sacred, unspoken spaces of grief.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE

Grief is a lonely journey on a path that is anything but linear. It’s hard enough to process when you’re going through it; it’s harder still for those around you to understand unless they’ve experienced grief themselves. And even then, no two experiences are ever the same. But there is healing in sharing your journey and realising that although each experience is unique, there are still similarities that you can find comfort and consolation in. You are never truly alone.

THIS BOOK IS FOR EVERYONE

It's not just for the mum who has lost her child.

It’s for anyone who has lost a loved one. To give a voice to your grief, help you feel less alone, and hopefully shine some light in your darkness.

It’s also for those who’ve never experienced grief, especially if you’re supporting someone who has. To give you a glimpse into the mind of the griever, help you be more grief-aware, and hopefully have a better idea of what to say (or not say!) and what they may need from you.

THIS IS NOT JUST ANOTHER HEAVY GRIEF OR SELF-HELP BOOK

This book may be deeply personal, showing a glimpse into the mind of a grieving mother, but it is not here to add to the weight of your emotions, nor is it here to tell you what to do or how to heal. While grief is a dark emotional and mental state, the essence of this book is in hope and finding the light in the darkness.

EXCERPT from book 'from one heart to another'

One day without you turns to three,

Weeks turn into months.

Yet still we're left with all this pain,

And grief we must confront.
