Another Year Older, Another Year Wiser?

By: Lynn Vincent Published on: 16/01/2026I’ve never really subscribed to a “Word for the Year”, but I gave it a go last year and it went well, so I've decided to do it again this year. Now, I wouldn’t normally share my word or reflections with everybody – at least not till the end of the year. After all, a lot of it can be pretty deep and personal stuff. But then I realised, some of the insight that I’ve gained from finding my word for 2026 wasn’t just relevant for me but could be useful for everybody!
Why Does Rest Feel So Hard?

Sounds simple, doesn’t it? Well, the truth is, there’s so much more to resting than the word alone implies. And let’s face it, for a lot of us (mums especially), rest usually seems ineffective or impossible.
